About Us:

The organization was established as Age Concern Wigan Borough in 1995 with support from many local supporters, including Rotary Club.  From its base in Market St in Wigan town centre, the organization established a strong presence across the Borough, developing responsive and engaging services and activities for older people. 

The organization adopted the new working title, ‘Age UK Wigan Borough’, in April 2011 following the successful merger between Age Concern England & Help the Aged.  Age UK Wigan Borough is an independent charity, partnered with the national charity, Age UK and a member of the Age England Association; the membership and representative organization for Age UK charities in England.

Age UK Wigan Borough Enterprises

Age UK Wigan Borough Enterprises is a wholly owned trading company, which provides insurance and holiday services. The trading company is an appointed representative for Age UK Enterprises, for the purpose of compliance with the Financial Services Authority regulations.
